Gabriel Hinman Named Shareholder

Smith Alling is pleased to announce that Gabriel Hinman has joined the firm as a shareholder. Gabriel joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2021 after completing his clerkship with Justice Sheryl Gordon McCloud of the Washington State Supreme Court. Prior to his Supreme Court clerkship, Gabriel graduated first in his class from Lewis & Clark Law School and clerked for Judge Rich Melnick at the Washington Court of Appeals. Gabriel is an accomplished legal writer with extensive experience in appellate practice, land use, and civil litigation. Gabriel chairs the rules and policy subcommittee of the Washington State Bar Association’s Pro Bono and Public Service Committee and is a member of the Robert J. Bryan Inn of Court.

As a shareholder, Gabriel intends to focus his practice on land use, environmental and administrative law, and civil appeals.
